Emokis is designed for children, regardless of their age, who are at Level 1 of functional emotional development: Self-regulation & Attention.

At this initial level, development is characterized by a child's ability to regulate attention and behavior while being interested in a wide range of sensations (sight, sounds, smells, own movement patterns, etc.), and their ability to engage in shared attention with others. The key skills include processing the environment, filtering distractions, relating to others, and focusing on play or tasks.

Children achieve these developmental stages at different ages, and the presence of these skills serves as a foundation for subsequent phases. Emokis is specifically designed to address the challenges faced by children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or those who experience difficulties in sensory and emotional integration, even if they do not belong to the autism spectrum.
